One application. Two sides.
Every step in between.

HireDec. is built around a single shared object: the application. The candidate and the hiring team each work on it from their side, and each always sees what's next.

How it fits together

The application at the center.

An application connects a candidate, a company and a role, and carries the hiring workflow. Everything else sits around it, and each side sees its own part.

The candidate

  • Applies with a profile
  • Picks interview times
  • Hands in assignments
  • Answers offers, or withdraws

Private: notes, to-dos, CV labels, profile names

Application

  • Stages of the job's workflow
  • Interviews and times offered
  • Assignments and their files
  • The profile and CV that were sent
  • Messages
  • A history of every event

The hiring team

  • Moves candidates between stages
  • Offers times and sends assignments
  • Makes offers and decides
  • Keeps notes together

Private: internal notes

Where an application stands, and the next step for each side, is worked out from the same data for both. That's why the two sides always agree.

Step by step

What one side does, the other side gets.

The hiring team publishes

A job, with its process upfront

Every job carries its own workflow of stages. Its public page shows the whole process, so candidates know what's ahead before they apply.

  • Draft, open or closed
  • A link to share anywhere
  • Stages you define, per job

The candidate applies

With the profile that fits

Candidates pick one of their profiles when they apply. The team receives a copy of it and its CV, and the candidate appears in the first column.

  • A copy, as it was when sent
  • The profile's name stays private
  • “New application” for the team

The team moves them forward

The journey moves on both sides

Drag a candidate to the next stage, or use Move to…. The candidate's journey updates, and they're told: “moved to Technical Interview”.

  • Whose move it is, always visible
  • Notifications on both sides

Scheduling

Times offered. One picked.

The team offers between one and twelve times in their time zone. The candidate sees them in theirs, and choosing becomes their next step. The pick lands on both calendars.

  • “Maya picked Mon at 10:00”, in the team's time zone
  • Meeting details and a Join button

Home assignments

A brief out. A hand-in back.

Send an assignment with a due date and files: a brief, a dataset, a Word template. The candidate hands in their own files, and the candidate moves to “Your move”.

  • Every file checked before it's stored
  • Documents opened as safe copies

Messages

One conversation per application

Messages live with the application they're about, live on both sides, with unread counts in the sidebar. The team's internal notes sit next to them, never shown to the candidate.

The decision

An offer, or a clear close

Make an offer, reject, mark as hired, or reopen. The candidate gets an offer to answer, or a calm closing message. Either way, the process ends where it began.

  • Accepted, declined or withdrawn: the team is told
  • Closed candidates listed below the pipeline

Live on both sides

No refreshing. No “any news?”.

Every action is recorded once, in order, as part of the change itself, and announced to whoever is allowed to see it. The other side's open screen updates within about a second.

  • Only what's committed is announcedIf a change doesn't go through, nobody is told it did.
  • Each viewer gets their own sideShared events go to both sides; private ones stay on theirs.
  • A history that only growsEvents are appended, never rewritten.
